The runner is actually my Chevron Rug, washed up fresh for the table. Below you can see a chunk of wood left over from my wood block lamp excursion. I layered it with a piece of burlap ribbon, some paper grass and candies with a nest my kids found on the street in front of our house a few years back.
How cute does that chocolate bunny look in the pocket of my burlap slipcover?! A few peeps (bunnies, cause let’s face it, they are cuter) tucked in paper grass and an empty cardboard egg holder sit ready to be snacked on. The little ducks in the pond was an applique from a Baby Gap t-shirt 11 years ago. I love the image and have kept it in storage till the right project comes up. I simply pinned it to a burlap bag (from Burlap Fabric). After bagging the mini indoor lemon tree I topped it with sphagnum moss and a few decorative speckled eggs. The drinks are pink lemonade poured into cleaned out soda bottles. I made woodland bunny labels with each person’s name on them.
The angel in the middle of the table is a reminder of the reason we celebrate Easter. Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection as his gift to each of us.
Check out the napkins on the plates, my friend Jennifer from Dot & Army (an adorable vintage Etsy site) sent them to me. They are vintage and perfect for this table setting.
I love the burlap chair covers with this spring tablescape. The center piece is a tiny potted lemon tree I bought at the end of the season last year at Lowe’s, regularly $25, my price?…$2.50! All the leaves fell off and it looked dead, but I had faith, kept watering, and now it is thriving, wahoo! I slipped it into the burlap bag to get it table ready.
More chocolate and candy, I love sweets. Honestly this white bunny has no purpose in the white holder, but it was soo cute I threw it out there. Birds, bunnies, chocolate, burlap, lemonade, lemon trees, milk glass jars, all make my Woodland Easter Tablescape.
